This past Saturday we had to honour of hosting a reception for our current exhibition entitled T400EX celebrating 400 years of The Holy Trinity Church, and the Royal Gazette was there to capture this historical moment.

Andrea Sundt continues her work exploring combining geometric and natural forms. The contrasts in these pieces are especially inviting - the delicate flower touching harsh squares, the uniform transparent flats that allow the natural wood texture to shine through, graphite/wood mixed with plastic paints...there's a lot to explore.

Peter Lapsley explores composition and negative sp

Peter Lapsley explores composition and negative space in his series of work. Using gold leaf on a clean white background, each piece plays with the space in different ways. While the shapes may appear random, gold leaf is tricky to work with and the shifting sizes and shapes are very much intentionally placed to shift the weight and balance in each piece.

Join the City in welcoming International Artist Andre Trenier!

@citylifebda City of Hamilton - Bda thrilled to announce the inclusion of international artist Andre Trenier in the 2023 VIVID Public Art Initiative. Mural specialist Andre Trenier, hailing from the Bronx, has been creating street murals for the last 20 years.

Andre will be hosting a free, hands-on, mural workshop on Saturday, April 15th and Sunday, April 16 where he will lend his techniques and talents to local artisans. Space is limited for the workshop, register today to take advantage of this opportunity!
