Hues and Views By Cheryl Hastings in support of KAF education bursary

Cheryl is a keen member of the local Plein Air group and is likely to be there come rain or shine! She loves to experiment with acrylics. She has a passion for bright bold colours and likes to surprise the rest of the group with her unique view of the day! Cheryl loves the creative buzz of the Bermuda Plein Air group and she looks forward to their painting days.

Cheryl Hastings studied art at university in Liverpool, UK. She specialised in printmaking and worked mainly to create etchings and multimedia relief pieces.

Cheryl went on to gain her Post Graduate Certificate in teaching Art and Design. She then became a fully Accredited Play Therapist (PTUK/PTI) and received her Masters Degree in Practise-based Play Therapy from Christ Church Canterbury University (UK).

Cheryl uses therapeutic play to empower children with better social integration; personal growth and development; emotional modulation and trauma resolution. Her creative play therapy helps children understand and process their feelings and past experiences.

Cheryl is the founder of Creative Rumpus and can now provide creative play therapy as part of Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation. Play therapy can be offered in her welcoming private practise play room, at Kaleidoscope premises or in the child’s school.

Thank you for supporting this solo show, which is fundraising for the bursary to offer play therapy sessions to children without financial means.
